The Bisons won their first HJHL Championship during the 1995-1996 season where they set a standard of excellence for years to come. With a record of 33 Wins, 3 Losses and 1 tie, the team finished first in the HJHL winning their first HJHL Playoff championship. The team went through provincial tournament play with a final record of 1 win, 3 losses and 1 tie. While not the Provincial result they wanted, this first HJHL Championship win created a culture that has withstood for generations. President Bill McFarlane, General Manager Dennis Hat along with Head Coach Gary Soroka and Assistant Coaches James McFill and Mike Hannigan.
