For more than 40 years, the Carstar Okotoks Bisons have been about more than winning hockey games. We have built a program focused on development, opportunity, and helping players move forward both on and off the ice.
Our goal is to give players the chance to compete in a strong, winning environment while also preparing them for what comes next. Whether that is college hockey, university hockey, Junior A, or other opportunities at a higher level, we are committed to helping our players take that next step.
At the Bisons, player advancement matters. We work to promote our athletes, support their goals, and help connect them with opportunities beyond junior hockey. That starts with strong coaching, accountability, and a culture that pushes players to improve. Just as importantly, it comes from being part of a respected program with a long history of success and player development.
Over the years, Bisons players have gone on to play at the NCAA Division III, U SPORTS, ACAC, and ACHA levels, while others have advanced to Junior A, professional, and overseas opportunities. That is a reflection of the standard of our program and the environment we continue to build in Okotoks.
