The Okotoks Bisons “THIRD” HJHL Championship was earned during the 2000-2001 Season. Their record of 30wins, 5 Losses and 2 Ties was good enough for First Place in the South, but was 1 point short in overall league standings behind Red Deer who finished 1st in the North. The Bisons found a way to win their 3rd HJHL championship however beating Red Deer in the Championship final earning their way to another Provincial Birth. The Bisons went onto winning Silver going 4-1 during Provincial play. So close to their first Provincial Gold they could taste it. Guided by President Jay Pritchard, General Manager Murray McCourt, Coaches Mark Delannoy, Rob Steir and Wayne Lauinger.
